Edwin N. Álvarez Román is a business attorney at law admitted to practice in Mexico. He focuses on cross-border litigation and international arbitration, both investment treaty arbitration and international commercial arbitration. He specializes in international contracts and sales, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, business associations, venture capital and private equity, international law, and international investment law. He is a skilled attorney with good standing before Mexican courts. He practices in  Spanish and English.


He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, North America Branch (ACIArb), American Society of International Law (ASIL), International Bar Association (IBA), American Bar Association (ABA), Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA), International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA), Asociación Latinoamericana de Arbitraje (ALARB), California Arbitration Association (CalArb), and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA).


Edwin N. Álvarez Román has a Master of Laws degree in International Arbitration and Business Law from American University Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C. He also, received his Master of Laws degree in Human Rights and Guarantees from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, and his Law Degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, both in Mexico City.


He has been recognized as a distinguished member 2023 of the Mexican Chapter of the Chartered Institute of  Arbitrators, North America Brench (CIArb), and he has been recognized in the Who´s Who in America 2023-2024.
